Squid Game Season 2 Gets First Teaser Trailer, And It Looks Mysterious
Netflix has released a sizzle reel for its TV shows and films coming in 2024, and this includes the first footage of the heavily anticipated Squid Game Season 2.
The teaser shows Lee Jung-jae's character, Seong Gi-hun, at the airport when he fields a call from a mysterious voice telling him, "You'll regret your decision." He replies, "I will find you. No matter what it takes." Here's the full teaser:
Squid Game premiered in 2021 and quickly became a huge success. The South Korean show's first season followed the participants of a kill-or-be-killed tournament where only one person would survive to claim a massive cash prize. Season 1 ended in dramatic fashion and with a major plot twist, and it'll be interesting to see where the show goes in Season 2 when it arrives later this year.
Netflix said it wanted to create an entire Squid Game universe, and to that end, the company released a competition show in 2023 called Squid Game: The Challenge. The winner, however, claims they have not received a penny of the promised millions yet.
Netflix is also turning Squid Game into a video game, but we don't know much yet about this beyond its existence.
