Vince McMahon Accused Of Sex Trafficking By Former WWE Employee
New allegations have been brought against former WWE chairman and current executive chairman of WWE's parent company, TKO Holdings, Vince McMahon, with a former employee now claiming she was sexually assaulted and trafficked by the wrestling mogul in a new lawsuit.
Janel Grant, a former WWE staffer, says in the suit (via WSJ) that McMahon both sexually assaulted her and trafficked her, including attempts to arrange sexual encounters between her and WWE officials and talent.
Grant stated that McMahon coaxed her into serial situations with promises of career advancement. He then allegedly abused her and trafficked her to other men within the company. One of the people in question was referred to as a "former UFC Champion" that whom WWE was attempting to negotiate a contract. Sources familiar with the situation claimed the talent in question is Brock Lesnar.
However, per the WSJ, a meeting between Grant and the star never came to pass. Grant claims, however, that McMahon instructed her to send explicit photos to the star.
Grant signed a nondisclosure agreement in 2022 in which McMahon agreed to pay $3 million. The WWE received an anonymous tip in 2022 about the relationship and started a board investigation, which uncovered other payments by the CEO to women. This caused McMahon to, momentarily, step down from his role at WWE. However, Vince later returned to the board of directors ahead of WWE's merger with UFC to form TKO.
Even after Grant signed the NDA, McMahon continued the abuse, according to the suit. Grant alleges that Vince wanted her to perform oral sex on him the last time they met.
The reason Grant was able to have the NDA invalidated was because McMahon stopped making payments under the 2022 deal after the initial $1 million installment. This new suit seeks to nullify the original agreement and unspecified financial damages.
Just last year, McMahon settled with Rita Chatterton, a former referee that sued Vince for harassment and assault, for an undisclosed sum.
