She-Hulk Season 2 Likely Isn't Happening, According To Star
A second season of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is probably not coming to any screens near you, according to its star, Tatiana Maslany.
Appearing on a recent episode of the Codenames Live! The New Class livestream, Maslany said she felt that Disney was unlikely to greenlight a second season, after Season 1's budget allegedly broke the bank.
"I don't think so, I think we blew our budget," she said regarding the likelihood of fans getting a second season. "And Disney was like, 'No thanks.'"
Premiering on Disney+ in 2022, the show followed the escapades of Bruce Banner's cousin, Jennifer Walters, after a car accident lead to her gaining Hulk's powers and trying to work around her difficult-to-control new abilities while maintaining her day job as an attorney and navigating the dating world.
Although Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, has never officially disclosed the cost of the show's nine-episode first season, its budget was rumored to be roughly $225 million, with each episode allegedly costing $25 million.
But despite the news, this may not be the last Marvel fans see of Maslany as Jannifer Walters. The character--along with Moon Knight and potentially others--is slated to appear on the big screen at some point, Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige confirmed in 2019.
