How Rachel Brosnahan Is Preparing For Superman Legacy
Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane in the upcoming superhero movie Superman Legacy. How is she preparing? She told Entertainment Weekly that, to get into the mindset of a journalist like Lois Lane, she's spending time with real-life journalists.
"I'm stalking my journalist friends right now," she said. "I'm just trying to understand a little bit more deeply kind of how that mindset works."
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star went on to say that she is a big fan of Margot Kidder's version of Lois Lane from the Superman films starring Christopher Reeve.
"There's not a lot of women in these universes anyway," she said. "It was nice to see somebody onscreen who felt as ambitious as I felt as a younger woman."
The cast for Superman Legacy also includes David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios, is writing and directing the movie. Brosnahan previously talked about how the core team of people working on the movie are "perfect nerds" for Superman.
Filming begins in March 2024, and no one should expect to see a trailer for Superman Legacy until 2025, which is also the year the movie releases.
In other DC movie news, Gunn recently said he would love to work with Margot Robbie again on another DC project after the Australian actress suggested she might be finished with Harley.
