Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Trailer Teases A Showdown With A New Type Of Enemy
A new trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has arrived, providing a fresh look at the upcoming sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife. In Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to New York City where they partner up with the original Ghostbusters crew, including Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Dan Aykroyd (Harold Ramis passed away in 2014 but is referenced in the trailer).
An "ancient artifact" has unleashed an "evil force," and both groups of Ghostbusters--old and new--must work together to save the world from a second ice age. Check out the new trailer below, in which Murray refers to a bad guy as "tall, dark, and horny."
Gil Kenan directs Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and he also co-wrote the script with Jason Reitman.
The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, and Annie Potts. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire releases in theaters on March 22, after moving up one week.
2021's Ghostbusters: Afterlife earned more than $200 million worldwide in theaters.
