Enshrouded - How To Craft The Grappling Hook
Enshrouded has some areas that might seem out of reach. But there's a particular tool that should help you get across. Here's our guide on how to craft the Grappling Hook in Enshrouded.
How to craft the Grappling Hook in Enshrouded
You can make the Grappling Hook by using the Workbench in your base. However, you probably need to save the Blacksmith just so you can bring him back to a safe area. The NPC does give you several side quests related to progression and crafting.
Now, if you do see the Grappling Hook blueprint via the Workbench, then that means it's time to obtain certain resources:
- 4x Metal Scraps - Can be looted from scavenger-type enemies or found in containers.
- 7x String - Collect Plant Fiber from shrubs, then check the Manual Crafting menu so you can craft String.
- 10x Shroud Spores - These are normally dropped by cursed opponents in Shroud-infested locations.

You can go ahead and craft the Grappling Hook in Enshrouded so you can equip it on your character. This unlocks the grapple action when you see certain overhangs, beams, or metal hooks. You'll notice a prompt: either the "E" key (keyboard) or "Y" button (Xbox gamepad). Just press this button to swing across the gap. Note that the button prompt might not appear in some instances--we think it's a visual bug.
