Enshrouded - How To Craft The Glider
Enshrouded has vast lands that you need to explore if you want to progress further in its sandbox campaign. Thankfully, there's one particular tool that helps you do just that. Here's our guide on how to craft the Glider in Enshrouded. Technically, it's more like a Wingsuit, but you get the idea.
How to craft the Glider in Enshrouded
You can craft the Glider via the Workbench. However, you may need to rescue the Blacksmith first. The NPC not only gives you additional quests, but he also tells you about the new tools that you can create.
In any case, once you have a Workbench in your base and you know of the Glider blueprint, you'll want to find the following materials:
- 8x Shroud Wood - Chop down decaying trees in areas covered in Shroud. You can refer to our Shroud survival guide for additional tips.
- 2x Animal Fur - Dropped by wolves, sheep, and other creatures that you encounter.
- 2x String - Collect Plant Fiber from shrubbery, then use the Manual Crafting menu to make String.
- 2x Shroud Spores - Dropped by cursed enemies in Shroud-covered areas.
The materials needed to craft the Glider.### How to use the Glider
Once you craft the Glider in Enshrouded, go ahead and right-click on the item and click on the Equip button. It'll then be added directly to your character's gear, allowing you to make use of it. Here's what you need to know:
- The Glider can be activated if you're jumping, falling, or are in mid-air. Simply press and hold the spacebar (keyboard) or "A" button (Xbox gamepad).
- You can move sideways to control your character. Moving backward also pulls back slightly so you can stay in the air longer. Moving forward, however, causes your character to do a steep dive.
- If you're gliding normally as you hit the ground, your character will automatically do a roll, allowing them to survive the fall. If you hit the ground at a steep dive, your character will likely die from fall damage.
- Your stamina will also get gradually depleted as you're gliding in mid-air, so make sure you reach solid ground before that happens.
- Lastly, it's possible to activate the Glider while doing a normal jump, only to trigger the roll animation. You can use this mechanic to climb up steep inclines.
Use the Glider to land on safe spots in areas that are covered in Shroud. This is how you craft the Glider in Enshrouded. This is just one of many items that you should acquire during the course of your run. Another important tool that you should make is the Grappling Hook.
