Call of Duty Season 2 start times
Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone arrives on Wednesday, February 7. The big update is scheduled to go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
What to expect from Season 2
Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will include a new battle pass to level up and unlock more weapons and cosmetics. There are both free and premium tiers of the pass, and Call of Duty's extra-premium $30 BlackCell bundle also returns. This season's BlackCell operator features a skin that morphs from human to zombie and eventually to a skeleton as the player racks up kills.
The operator highlights for this season's standard pass are Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead and Kate Laswell from this rebooted Modern Warfare series. For DLC weapons, the free tiers of the pass include the BP50 assault rifle and RAM-9 submachine gun, while two more weapons will arrive later in the season.
The zombies theme continues with The Walking Dead: Fear the Living event running from February 28 to March 6, allowing players to unlock some zombies-themed cosmetics.
Season 2 roadmap## Warzone
Warzone's popular Fortune's Keep map returns in Season 2, bringing the new Ranked Play Resurgence mode for trios. The map includes a few visual changes since it was last seen in the Vanguard-era of Warzone. Fortune's Keep will also include new extendable bridges, a new score tracker detailing a team's squad wipe streaks, and Zombies-themed content.
Modern Warfare 3
Season 2 adds several maps to the game: Stash House, Vista, and Departures are standard 6v6 maps that arrive at launch, and Operation Tin Man is a new map for the game's large-scale War mode. More maps will arrive later in the season, including a remastered version of Vanguard's popular Das Haus map.
Five game modes are confirmed: Team Gun Game, Snipers Only, Hordepoint, Bounty, and the new Juggermosh mode. Juggermosh is described as a third-person-perspective variant mode with all players equipped with juggernaut suits in mixed game modes.
The update also includes a new season of Ranked Play multiplayer, plus new challenges, events, and seasonal player progression.
For Zombies, players will need to wait until the midseason update to get the new content revealed, but the announcements include a new Dark Aether story act, a second Dark Aether Rift, more schematics, and a new warlord boss to fight.
Season 1 Reloaded is currently live, and this is the last chance to earn the cosmetics from The Boys event or score those Season 1 Ranked Play rewards in multiplayer.
