Call Of Duty Has A Superhero MP Mode With The Boys Event In MW3
The Season 1 Reloaded update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 includes a new crossover event with The Boys TV series, bringing more operator bundles, limited-time event challenges, and a brand-new Supe-themed multiplayer mode.
The last time Supes from The Boys invaded Call of Duty, their superpower shenanigans were limited to Warzone and MW2's DMZ mode. This time, players can have fun with wacky powers in Modern Warfare 3's limited-time Supe'd Up multiplayer mode.
This superpowered mode is a 6v6 match described as Kill Confirmed with a twist. In Supe'd Up, fallen players drop doses of Temp V instead of Kill Confirmed dog tags. Temp V is named after the super serum used in The Boys, giving Call of Duty players temporary superpowers like Homelander's laser eyes and A-Train's super speed. However, Homelander's laser eyes are only unlocked after reaching about 6 or 7 kills in a row, so it's pretty hard to reach that power in particular. Gameplay from the Supe'd Up mode can be seen in the clip below.
Additionally, players can participate in The Boys: Super Siege event challenges to earn rewards themed around the show. Completing all challenges earns "The Boys Special," which is a light machine gun weapon blueprint.
This midseason update adds new bundles for A-Train and the upcoming Supe, Firecracker. The operator bundles for Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir also return from last year's MW2. Make sure to check out all the patch notes from Season 1 Reloaded.
