2007-08 NFL Football Season begins with Colts Win
The first touchdown of the season was something we’ve always witnessed for years now, Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison.
Yep, the defending Super Bowl XLI champions, Indianapolis Colts, was indeed still in championship form after they simply dominated the New Orleans Saints at both sides of the field, 41-10, Thursday.
It definitely looked like the Colts are ready to do it all over again. After coming up with the first touchdown of the 2007-08 NFL football season when Peyton Manning connected with Marvin Harrison for a 27-yard TD play, Peyton had two more, connecting with Reggie Wayne TWICE to shatter any hopes the Saints have in beating the defending champs.
Coming to the season opener, Peyton Manning faced his hometown team, growing up idolizing the Saints his father, Archie Manning, led in the past. This night though, this Manning was out to lead the Saints to their first loss of the young regular season.
For what it’s worth, the New Orleans Saints did look as if they were about to dealt the Colts their first loss since winning Super Bowl XLI in Miami, Florida. The Colts were helping too, showing signs of rust, so to speak, at least after first half of football.
